Our mission is to unite individuals and resources to lead, advocate, and support community betterment, meet the needs of those less fortunate, and empower individuals who may otherwise remain unheard.
Join us for volunteer orientation every Monday at 4:30pm at Calexico Neighborhood House, 506 Fourth Street, Calexico, CA. To ensure a smooth process, please call ahead to sign up and if possible, request the Volunteer Application beforehand.

Volunteer Responsibilites

Assignment Readiness
Accept assignments with a realistic view of your interests, skills, and availability, while keeping in mind NHC’s needs.
2.
Learning Your Role
Attend required training, ask questions, and maintain open communication with your supervisor.
3.
Reliability
Show commitment to NHC by being dependable in your role and collaborating with your team.
4.
Code of Conduct
Follow NHC guidelines, sign the necessary documents (Code of Conduct, Insurance Non-Coverage, Acknowledgement of Receipt, Volunteer Release, and Waiver of Liability), respect confidentiality, and maintain appropriate public behavior.
5.
Feedback and Improvement
Please share your experience with us, offering constructive feedback to help improve the volunteer program.

Skill Development
Take advantage of training opportunities to grow in your role and maximize your impact.

To participate in our Volunteer Program, please visit our front office at 506 E. Fourth St., Calexico, CA to pick up a volunteer form.
Volunteer forms are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
